Medicaid billing for community health worker services growing, but remains low, 2016-2020

This study looks at the trends of Community Health Workers (CHWs) billing Medicaid services between 2016 and 2020. The number of CHWs billing Medicaid increased significantly, but by 2020, only 731 CHWs in 9 states were billing, with Ohio accounting for most of the billing.
