Ethiopian Health Extension Workers’ Training Status and Perceived Competency

This study assesses Health Extension Worker’s (HEW) pre-service training status and perceived competency in Ethiopia. The study used a mixed methods approach to investigate Health Extension Program (HEP) activities by sampling 515 HEWs, 1,245 HEW trainees, 192 instructors, and 43 key informants.
