The State of the Evidence report was created by conducting a title/keyword search in six electronic databases for both peer-reviewed and gray literature: Medline (PubMed), Google Scholar, MedNar, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, World Wide Science, and WHO Global Index Medicus. Our completed search returned a total of 1,130 results, of which 736 were non-duplicates. After an initial title and abstract screening, 512 remained, and 442 were ultimately included after a separate round of full-text screening. We included sources if they were published in English in 2021, and if they contained insights or conclusions related to at least one of the following key categories:
