We are excited to announce the formation of a new partnership between CHW Central and the Financing Alliance for Health (FAH). CHW Central is launching a new page, the Community Health Financing (CHF) Hub, to share information, investment cases, and resources for financing community health programs.
The mission of FAH is to help governments design and fund ambitious, affordable, and at-scale community health programs by finding innovative financing pathways and investments opportunities, including those that utilize the private sector. While primarily focused on financing, the FAH team has technical expertise to help countries design more efficient and effective systems.
The partnership between CHW Central and FAH supports the aims of FAH to codify and share country experience in mobilizing resources for community health programs and ultimately institutionalizing community health workers with the global health community. This contributes to CHW Central’s mission to expand access to information about and promote the CHW workforce. FAH will provide materials to assist practitioners, program managers, CHWs, governments, and policy makers to broaden the CHW community’s knowledge, understanding of the issues, and practical application of research findings. CHW Central will provide the platform for the dissemination of FAH-generated resources to ensure it reaches a more diverse audience. CHW Central will share FAH white papers, case studies, stories, and research articles related to the CHW workforce on the CHF Hub.
Visit the CHF Hub to see the new resources such as:
- The Financing Compendium, a one-stop shop for community health practitioners illustrating different financing instruments and approaches that might be applicable for a country.
- Closing the $2 Billion Gap, a report that draws lessons from two unique examples—Zambia and Ethiopia—on financing pathways to secure additional resources.
