This study explored the experiences of frontline health workers providing maternal and reproductive health services in tribal communities in Kerala, India. It found that these workers do much more than their official duties, including home visits, health education, and helping families access government support. They face many challenges such as difficult travel, heavy workloads, and emotional stress, but stay motivated through strong community relationships and the satisfaction of helping mothers and families. The study highlights the need for better support, training, and working conditions to strengthen care in underserved communities.
