What Works In CHW Approaches And Innovation Serving Native Hawaiians And Pacific Islanders

by

Authors: NACHW, Neena Schultz

This toolkit highlights how Community Health Workers (CHWs) support the health and well-being of Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders (NHPI) in the U.S. NHPI communities come from many Pacific regions and have rich cultural traditions, but they also face health and social challenges due to colonization, displacement, and limited access to services. Despite these hardships, NHPI communities continue to preserve their cultures and support each other. CHWs play a key role in helping NHPI people stay healthy by providing culturally grounded care and support.
