This study sought to analyze the relationships between adverse working conditions and dimensions of localized violence on the prevalence of common mental disorders (CMD) among CHWs in Brazil. Information was collected with a self-report questionnaire containing items such as sociodemographic data, work-related violence, and mental health care. The results showed that the work and mental health of CHWs was significantly affected by violence, indicating a need to adopt strategies to mitigate the effects of violence on the work and mental health of CHWs
