The purpose of this paper was to create a dissemination and implementation strategy for maintaining the Salud en Mis Manos (SEMM) intervention in clinic settings. SEMM is a CHW-delivered, evidence-based intervention (EBI) that is shown to increase breast and cervical cancer screening. Researchers utilized five iterative tasks, defined by an implementation mapping framework, to guide the use of theories and frameworks, evidence, new data, and stakeholder input to develop strategies to accelerate and improve implementation fidelity, reach, and maintenance of the SEMM intervention. This study’s outcome resulted in the development of the SEMM-Dissemination and Implementation Assistance model, which supports the translation of evidence-based health promotion interventions into clinic settings. In applying this framework, this paper offers insights to accelerate the translation of CHW-delivered EBIs to public health practice while exemplifying a systematic protocol that can support planning for improved implementation of other public health interventions.
