This study assessed the TIMELY program, designed to boost the referral of underrepresented patients to lupus clinical trials. TIMELY combines two existing educational programs with new roundtable meetings that encourage discussions between trial sites, healthcare providers, and community health workers (CHWs). The study found that both providers and CHWs significantly improved their knowledge about lupus trials after completing the training. Providers also showed increased confidence and willingness to refer patients after participating in the roundtables. These results suggest that TIMELY could effectively enhance the referral process for lupus clinical trials.
