Diarrheal diseases are a major cause of childhood mortality across the globe. This study, conducted in Uganda, evaluates whether a community health worker distribution model decreases or increases ORS coverage in children. The authors found that financial constraints were a major barrier to accessing ORS and that the CHW distribution model effectively and sustainability increased ORS coverage, which has major implications for decreasing childhood mortality due to diarrheal disease.
