In Yemen, this study assessed the impact of Community Health and Nutrition Volunteers (CHNVs) on children’s health in remote villages. The study compared villages with CHNVs to those without, focusing on vaccination rates, illness, and nutrition among infants and young children. The findings showed that children in villages with CHNVs were more likely to be vaccinated and had higher coverage for key vaccines. Additionally, these children experienced lower rates of diarrhea and fever compared to those in villages without CHNVs. Overall, the CHNVs significantly improved children’s health in the communities they served. Expanding the program to other areas in Yemen is recommended.
