This study in Metro Manila, Philippines, looked at whether a program designed to strengthen hope could improve the well-being of community health workers from low-income communities. The program helped increase workers’ sense of support and hope from their families and peers, as well as their overall well-being. It also encouraged greater interest and participation in community activities. The findings suggest that supporting the emotional and social well-being of CHWs can help them remain strong and engaged in their work.
