This review examined how pharmacists and community health workers (CHWs) work together to improve medication adherence. Eight studies, mostly from the U.S., were analyzed, involving 1,577 participants. The interventions included medication therapy management, reconciliation, and education, with CHWs providing patient support and pharmacists handling clinical care. While some studies showed improved adherence, most relied on self-reported data rather than objective measures. The overall quality of research was moderate to weak, highlighting the need for more rigorous studies to better understand the impact of pharmacist-CHW collaboration on patient outcomes.
