This study tested an online health program for people with type 2 diabetes in China. Patients received dietary and health tips through a hospital’s WeChat account, with support from community health workers. They also shared daily meal photos, tracked blood sugar, and chatted with the care team. After three months, those in the program had better blood sugar control, lost weight, had improved cholesterol levels, and reported a better quality of life compared to those who got regular care. The results suggest that using mobile tools with CHW support can help manage diabetes more effectively.
