This study analyzed data from a trial evaluating CHAMPS, a mobile health intervention with community health worker support, to improve HIV self-management in New York City and Birmingham. Findings showed that missing medical appointments, uncertainty about care access, and poor medication adherence were linked to lower self-management. In NYC, CHAMPS significantly improved daily self-management, but no significant effects were found in Birmingham. More research is needed to understand how different factors impact HIV self-management across regions.
