The University of Rwanda’s Global Surgery Research Hub developed a toolkit to prevent Surgical Site Infections (SSIs) and trained Community Health Workers (CHWs) on how to use it. This toolkit aims to improve awareness and management of SSIs at the community level, where CHWs play a crucial role in providing basic healthcare.
