Studying Executive Directors and Supervisors Views of Organizational and Policy-Level Challenges Faced by Community Health Workers

October 2, 2021 By

Authors: Rahbel Rahman, Abigail M. Ross, Sharon Chesna, Maya Rama Tatikola, and Simone Hopwood

This study examines the policy barriers that affect CHW programs in the United States. Key findings indicate that funding, accessibility of evidence-based practices, and certification processes were significant policy barriers to CHW program development. The authors call for the greater integration of the CHW workforce into the policy frameworks of the United States.
