The study explored how a network of community health workers, pharmacists, and organizations improved COVID-19 vaccine uptake in rural Missouri. Through outreach efforts, they provided education to over 84,000 people and administered nearly 15,000 vaccines. Key factors for success included trust, collaboration, and better access to services, while challenges included poor communication and unclear roles. The findings show the value of teamwork in addressing health needs and suggest this model could be used for future health programs.
