This study explored what community health workers in Migori County need to effectively teach families about the malaria vaccine, and whether digital tools could support their training. CHWs preferred in-person sessions with visual aids, though some were open to digital learning. Limited digital skills, language barriers, phone access, and costs made digital training difficult. Community members trusted CHWs and supported vaccination, but hesitancy still existed because of fears, cultural beliefs, misinformation, and confusion about why the malaria vaccine was only offered in certain areas. Clear communication about the vaccine rollout and better support for CHWs; including digital skills training and accessible technology; would strengthen vaccine education in the community.
