This study evaluated a statewide training program for community health workers and promotores in California and found that it successfully improved their knowledge, skills, and confidence. More than 500 participants attended culturally relevant and multilingual online workshops, and feedback showed that the training was useful, practical, and well received. The findings suggest that this training approach can strengthen the community health workforce and help community health workers share reliable health information more effectively, especially during public health emergencies and in underserved communities.
