This qualitative cross-sectional study in Kisumu County aimed to explore local cultural beliefs and practices related to Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV, and how service providers integrate cultural sensitivity into infection prevention strategies. Key informants from health facilities were interviewed using open-ended questions. Cultural events like weddings and funerals were highlighted as opportunities for health education, alongside involving community health volunteers and traditional healers. The study emphasized understanding Spatial Determinants of Health (SDH) and using the Health Belief Model (HBM) to guide health promotion efforts. Recommendations include further ethnographic research to enhance culturally sensitive approaches in infection prevention.
