This study looked at how traditional birth attendants (TBAs) and government health workers in Ghana’s Upper East Region work together to improve care for mothers and children. Unlike in other places where there is conflict, this partnership works well because both sides are flexible, open to learning from each other, and respect different ways of understanding childbirth. The study shows that respectful collaboration between traditional and modern health workers can lead to better health outcomes.
