An exploratory-descriptive study was conducted to reflect on the experiences of mothers, community leaders, and CHWs engaged in maternal and child-focused mobile health interventions in rural areas of Limpopo Province, South Africa. Focus groups and individual semi-structured interviews were performed, and uncovered the significant role of digital support apps in maternal and child health. These findings suggest that digital resources could improve access to health instructions for pregnant women and mothers, while alleviating the workload of community leaders and CHWs.
