This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of community health workers (CHWs) in delivering diabetes self-management education (DSME) to Latino(a) adults. The researchers developed a bilingual (Spanish/English) curriculum, trained 10 CHWs, who then implemented 6-month diabetes group visit programs in community clinics. The evaluation showed high participant satisfaction, improved quality of life, and program acceptability, with an attendance rate of 81.6%. The study highlights the successful utilization of CHWs for delivering health education, providing a template for similar programs in diverse populations and health conditions.
