Patient navigation in reproductive healthcare

This review looks at the challenges to accessing abortion care before and after the Dobbs decision, focusing on how patient navigators can help. The Dobbs ruling increased barriers like cost, knowledge, and logistics, making abortion harder to access. Patient navigators help by coordinating resources, which has been shown to improve reproductive outcomes, support patients, and involve community health workers. These navigators have also been successful in improving access to care and helping patients receive the support they need.
