This study sought to develop a mobile application for HPV screening for CHVs in western Kenya. Application developers created the mSaada application to address previously identified gaps in HPV screening: patient education, data capture, and specimen tracking. Eighteen CHVs and physicians were surveyed and participated in-depth interviews to collect feedback on the application. Overall, participants reported that mSaada was easy to use, useful, and would meet the needs of CHVs to screen for HPV in the field. While the application still needs to be piloted at the field level, the results of this study suggest that mSaada holds promise as a tool for identifying and preventing HPV in Kenya.
