This study examined how traditional birth attendants (TBAs) and community health workers (CHWs) could help improve routine childhood vaccination in Kousseri, a hard-to-reach area of northern Cameroon. From July to September 2025, TBAs and CHWs were trained to educate communities, encourage parents to vaccinate their children, identify children who had missed vaccines, and refer them for vaccination. The experience showed that involving trusted community workers is practical and can help increase access to vaccination, especially in vulnerable and fragile settings. Regular training, supervision, and clear referral systems were important to making the approach work.
