This review looked at whether Community Health Workers (CHWs) can help more women in Sub-Saharan Africa get screened for cervical cancer. Across six studies, CHWs provided health education, visited homes, helped women reach screening services, followed up on appointments, and offered practical support such as childcare. The findings showed that CHW involvement increased screening in several studies and may also improve follow-up care. Overall, CHWs can play a useful role in increasing access to cervical cancer screening, although their impact depends on the local setting and how the programme is designed.
