Implementing digital health information systems, like the electronic Community Health Information System (eCHIS), can improve healthcare delivery in resource-constrained areas like Ethiopia. This study assessed Health Extension Workers’ (HEWs) intentions to use the eCHIS for managing health data and providing services. Findings showed that factors like ease of use, self-expectancy, social influence, and enjoyment were associated with HEWs’ intention to use the system. For successful implementation, it is crucial to ensure that the eCHIS system is user-friendly and that HEWs understand its benefits for effective health data management and service provision. Further research is needed to explore additional factors affecting HEWs’ intention to use the eCHIS.
