Integrated work processes between community health workers and vector control agents: a scoping review

by

Authors: Karina Santos da Silva, Nakita Maria Komori, Fernanda Araújo de Paula Delfino, Kellen Campos Castro Moreira, Bethania Ferreira Goulart

This review explored how Community Health Workers and vector control workers can work together in primary healthcare. It found that involving both groups in planning and carrying out health activities could improve coordination, reduce gaps in services, and strengthen efforts to control diseases spread by insects such as mosquitoes. However, only nine documents were found, showing that there is limited research on how these workers collaborate. The study highlights the need for more research and stronger teamwork between the two groups to improve disease prevention and other public health services.
