This case study evaluated Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes), a telemonitoring program connecting healthcare providers with subject experts. In March 2020, Project ECHO created 10 COVID-19 telemonitoring programs to address public health needs of rural/underserved areas. By evaluating these programs and the sessions provided, this paper demonstrated how interprofessional groups used the Project ECHO network to build a community of practice while meeting their educational and professional needs. The paper recommends that the ECHO network be applied to similar public health emergencies.
