This study looked at how a counseling method called timed and targeted counseling (ttC), delivered by community health workers, affected maternal health in Northern Uganda. The results showed that women who received ttC were much more likely to attend at least four antenatal care visits, give birth at a health facility, and receive postnatal care, compared to those who didn’t get ttC. The study suggests that using ttC in low-resource areas can improve maternal health and should be included in Uganda’s health system.
