This study aimed to educate Community Health Workers (CHWs) in India on early oral cancer detection to reduce the disease burden. A total of 178 participants were divided into two groups: one focused on screening and prevention, and the other on advanced diagnostics, AI-enabled tools, and patient care for Oral Potentially Malignant Disorders. Pre- and post-training assessments showed a significant increase in knowledge (p < 0.001), with a mean score rise of 3.99. Six months later, knowledge retention remained significantly improved (p < 0.001). The results suggest that well-structured training effectively enhances CHWs’ ability to detect oral cancer early, but retraining is necessary for long-term retention.
