Managing type 2 diabetes through community-based health behavior interventions in Nepal is cost-effective. This study compared a program led by community health workers with usual care for 6 months. The intervention, including training, phone support, and peer guidance, showed better health outcomes at a low cost. It provided good value for money and had an 89.6% chance of being cost-effective. Long-term studies in other low-income settings are needed to confirm these results.
