Financing Alliance for Health has produced a series of country case studies providing robust information on community health system profiles, taking a financing lens. Each case study includes insights on community health system context, structure and lessons on financing.
Burkina Faso has a long history of community-based health programming, however CHW motivation and incentives have been a consistent challenge. The Ministry of Health has since adopted the national Community Health Strategy, validating the investment in the community health services. Key factors in the program’s evolution include:
