This study in Indonesia explored whether Community Health Workers (CHWs) could help people with mild stroke access rehabilitation through a digital programme at home. The programme provided exercises for movement, daily activities, and speech, and most participants followed the exercises regularly. About three-quarters reported meaningful improvements in their daily functioning, while both CHWs and participants found the digital tools generally easy to use. However, many participants needed help from family members to use the app and complete the exercises. The findings suggest that CHW-supported digital rehabilitation could help expand stroke care in communities with limited rehabilitation services.
