The Family Health Strategy (FHS) focuses on preventive care and health promotion within families and their environments. A core team, including a doctor, nurse, nursing technician, and Community Health Agents (CHAs), carries out these actions. CHAs play a crucial role in connecting users with public health services. This research examines the role of CHAs in current public health policy. Findings from a narrative review and documentary research (May 2022 to November 2023) highlight the essential role of CHAs in implementing Primary Health Care. However, the 2017 National Primary Care Policy (PNAB) negatively impacted their work by assigning clinical duties, weakening their health education efforts.
