This study examined how Community Health Workers (CHWs) help improve access to healthcare and promote fair access to services in three communities in the Philippines: Sangali, Tetuan, and Labuan. A survey of 300 residents found that CHWs made a strong contribution to improving access to healthcare and ensuring that people from different backgrounds could receive care. Residents generally shared similar views regardless of their age, gender, education, or social background. The study highlights the importance of continued support for CHWs, expanding their programmes, and strengthening their integration into the healthcare system to improve access to care for all.
