This study assessed the knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) of community health workers (CHWs) regarding type-2 diabetes (T2D) and hypertension (HTN) management. Findings indicate good general knowledge but gaps in specific areas. CHWs demonstrated positive attitudes and engagement in related activities. Challenges in health system integration include resource constraints. To effectively utilize CHWs, restructuring their roles and responsibilities, along with technical training and support, are recommended. Overall, CHWs in Cambodia have potential in T2D and HTN management, but a well-designed strategy is needed to maximize their impact.
