by

Authors: Kunda Chilambe, Chama Mulubwa, Joseph Mumba Zulu, Malizgani Paul Chavula

This study sought to explore teachers and community based health workers (CBHWs)’ experiences in addressing adolescents sexual, reproductive, health and rights (SRHR) problems in rural health systems in Zambia. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews with teachers and CBHWs involved in the implementation of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) in communities. The findings of this study provide significant insight on the important roles that teachers and CBHWs play in addressing adolescents’ SRHR-related problems, while highlighting challenges experienced and emphasizing the need to fully engage adolescents in addressing their SRHR problems.
