This study explored the challenges faced by community health workers (CHWs) in Indonesia while providing mental health services. Key challenges included family stigma and limited understanding of mental disorders. CHWs addressed these by staying motivated, building confidence, and improving communication with families and patients. Supporting CHWs through training to enhance mental health knowledge and communication skills is essential for improving community mental health.
