Evaluation of Health Education on Oral Cancer Screening Knowledge and Skills Among Community Health Workers in Agra District, India: A Community-Based Interventional Study

by

Authors: Shubham Ruhela • Geetu Singh • Akhil P. Singh • Himalaya Singh • Purnoor Kaur

This study tested whether short training could help community health workers do better oral cancer screening in Agra, India. After a simple session that included videos and hands-on practice, CHWs showed much better knowledge and screening skills. More CHWs moved from poor to good understanding of oral cancer, and their ability to examine patients improved a lot. The study shows that focused training can quickly build CHWs’ skills and should be expanded to support early cancer detection in low-resource settings.
