This review looked at the impact of mobile health (mHealth) use by community health workers (CHWs) on maternal health services in sub-Saharan Africa. It focused on antenatal care (ANC), facility-based births, and postnatal care (PNC). Out of 10 studies, most showed that mHealth use by CHWs increased the use of these services. The review also identified factors that help or hinder mHealth use, such as community trust, digital literacy, training, and access to equipment and internet. Addressing these challenges is crucial for successful mHealth programs.
