by

Authors: Gita Kusnadi, Emma Fletcher, Aufia Espressivo, Nisaatul Maharanita Fitrianingrum, Muhammad Anugrah Saputra, Nabilla Sophiarany, Febriansyah Soebagio

This study investigated community needs and perceptions regarding essential healthcare services in West Java, Indonesia, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings revealed unmet needs, particularly in laboratory exams, emergency care, and non-communicable disease screening. Fear of infection was a major barrier to accessing healthcare, especially for vulnerable populations. Community health workers (CHWs) played a crucial role in delivering healthcare services, highlighting the need for support and recognition of their efforts during pandemics.
