Malaria and anemia are major health problems in sub-Saharan Africa, especially for pregnant women and children. Despite progress with tools like bed nets and spraying, gaps remain in community knowledge and treatment. Anemia, worsened by malaria and poor nutrition, also affects health and productivity. This review highlights how community engagement and health education improve prevention, awareness, and timely treatment. Community Health Workers and local media play vital roles in sharing culturally relevant information. Active community involvement leads to better health outcomes, but challenges like stigma and limited resources must be addressed for lasting impact.
