In India, maternal mortality remains a concern despite progress towards Sustainable Development Goal targets. Skilled care during and after delivery is crucial for reducing maternal deaths. This study focused on Birth Preparedness and Complication Readiness (BPCR) training for 152 community health workers (CHWs) in Delhi. Before the intervention, CHWs had limited knowledge about certain aspects like early signs of labor, but training significantly improved their knowledge across all domains of BPCR. This underscores the effectiveness of targeted training in enhancing CHWs’ readiness to support maternal health.
