This study tested a diabetes education program tailored for Marshallese Pacific Islanders, delivered by community health workers in churches. Over 12 weeks, participants with type 2 diabetes saw significant improvements in blood sugar levels (HbA1c) and slight weight loss (BMI). The results highlight the program’s effectiveness and support using family-focused approaches to improve diabetes management in Pacific Islander communities.
