This study found that participatory training helped village health volunteers improve their knowledge and practical skills to support breastfeeding in their communities. Volunteers who received the training performed better than those who did not, especially in providing breastfeeding support during home visits. However, the training did not change their attitudes toward breastfeeding, suggesting that changing beliefs may require longer-term or more culturally tailored approaches.
