This study investigated the impact of a community health worker (CHW)-led intervention on improving health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among low-income and racial/ethnic minority individuals diagnosed with cancer. The intervention involved CHWs assisting with advance care planning, symptom screening, and addressing health-related social needs. Results showed that participants in the intervention group experienced greater improvements in HRQoL compared to those receiving usual care alone. This suggests that integrating CHWs into cancer care can effectively enhance the quality of life for underserved populations.
