Development and Implementation of Health Education Tools for Excluded Areas in the Czech Republic

by

Authors: H Maršálková, E Volevach, M Ely

The Saste Roma project aimed to improve health literacy and disease prevention among the excluded Czech Roma population. From 2021 to 2024, it developed and implemented 12 tailored communication tools, including brochures, music videos, a mobile app, social media campaigns, and school e-learning modules. These tools reached over half a million people, highlighting the importance of involving community members and training community health workers for effective engagement. This project showcases how culturally tailored health communication can reduce health inequalities.
